Cake Smash Photo Session with Michelle Ladlow Photography – Varsity Lakes, Gold Coast studio
Our cake smash sessions are held in our Varsity Lakes, Gold Coast Studio. We start off with a few baby(and optional family) portraits and then sit your baby in front of a delicious custom baked cake.
Your baby will have the best cake smashing time.

First Birthday & Cake Smash Sessions
Celebrate your baby’s first birthday with beautiful portraits and wonderfully messy cake-smash fun in my private Varsity Lakes studio.
We begin with first-birthday portraits and can include a few immediate-family photographs before bringing out the cake. An optional bath setting can finish the session afterwards.
Cake Smash Session Fee — $150
The non-refundable session fee secures your appointment and includes:
Up to one-hour styled studio session
First-birthday, family and cake-smash portraits
Session planning, studio setup and cleanup
Use of our available balloons, decorations and outfits
Optional bath setting
Private online gallery to choose your favourite images
Digital images are purchased separately, with collections starting from $400.
Please supply your baby’s fresh cake. Custom settings, colour schemes and specially sourced decorations can be quoted separately.
Studio bath set up
It is best to book your session as soon as you can. Some parents book their cake smash for 11 months to allow time to print invitations.
Most clients book their baby in between 11 and 13 months
